From Whistler to Winter Park, who’s a fan of some Spring skiing? Today’s look caters to post-skiing style, so whether you hit it hard all day or prefer to keep cozy with cocoa in the lodge, you’ll looked dressed in your winter best. Pull everything you see here together with the help of Nordstrom.
Although most of the country is enjoying a sneak peak of Spring sun and warm temperatures, there’s nothing like dipping your toes in aqua water and soft sand. Today’s Spring Break Style is inspired by the relaxed and tropical look of Key West, FL.
Our sandal pick is the Minnetonka Belize sandal. It combines the fringe and beading accents people have come to love in our mocs and boots, with a comfortable sandal style you can wear from the beach to a night out. And to make the rest of your shopping easy, we pulled everything together (except Burt’s Bees) at American Eagle Outfitters, where they’ve curated looks for a variety of hot Spring Break destinations.
Did someone say “Key Lime Pie”?
When we think of the Keys, we seem to have a one-track mind – and it involves lots of whipped cream and tart limey goodness. Here are a few shops that get the stamp of approval.
- Kermit’s Key West Key Lime Shop
- Blond Giraffe Key Lime Pie Factory
- Ice Box Cafe - Miami Beach, FL (for the trip back to the airport!)
South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW) is in full swing this week in Austin, TX. We tapped into our inner Minnetonka rocker style and pulled together packing suggestions for those music-loving fans bouncing from stage to stage this week. Long a festival footwear fave, the Three-Layer Fringe Boot makes an eye-catching statement, and is comfortable enough to keep up with day to night dancing on your feet.
Does your Spring Break look more like a “Staycation”? You can still keep up with some of the best acts as they stream live (most for free!) on Daytrotter.com. A few of our favorite upcoming acts on their list are:
- Delta Spirit: March 12, 4pm
- Gary Clark Jr.: March 13, 4:30pm
- Counting Crows: March 14, 7pm
- Jenny O: March 16, 8:30pm
Rock on, Spring Breakers!
Today we started our morning with some Pinterest browsing, and that brought us back around to one of our favorite blogs to watch, wheredidugetthat.com. Karen Blanchard, the acclaimed British fashion blogger living in NYC, seems to dig up some of the best vintage finds, and combines both high and low fashion in her unique looks every day.
After seeing this combination of vintage-found sequins and fur + the Minnetonka Front Lace Knee Hi Boot, we were once again smitten with her style, and on the hunt for end-of-the-season sequin sales. That’s the way to spice up winter wear and kick off March!
Until next time,
What once was one of the best kept secrets of Minnesota, continues to gain popularity and fans around the U.S. and the globe! Today, the Minnetonka love is felt in over 40 countries. Here are some shots from our Minnetonka partners in Spain, China, Japan and Italy!
Where do you think Minnetonka should travel next? The language of comfort and style is truly without borders.
