What’s your Minnetonka story?
Kristin, mom to Elizabeth and Madeline, received her first pair of Minnetonka mocs in 1982 at the age of 2 while visiting her grandparents in Arizona. Those pink Thunderbirds were her absolute favorite shoes and were replaced yearly throughout her childhood. When Kristin brought Elizabeth to visit Arizona for the first time at six months old, Kristin couldn’t resist a pair of size 2 pink fringe Minnetonka booties. The love affair grew another generation!
Now Kristin’s daughters request Minnetonka boots with fringe every season!
Whose style inspires you? Where do you find your inspiration?
Style inspiration is everywhere. The girls want to dress fun and playful and that attitude can rub off on us. Betsy and Kristin are known to wear colored jeans, bold jewelry and try out the latest trends.
What are a few of your family’s favorite winter activities to do together?
In the Midwest, we love dressing the kids up warm to play in the cold. Ice skating, sledding and just playing in the snow are a few of our favorites followed by warming up by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa.

my daughter wears her minnetonka pink fring booties out everywhere we go, and she loves them and is putting an extensive amount of wear on them I love her booties and saw that although I could buy the same booties I could not get them in the same color which is such a shame because she gets compliments from many women my age looking for those exact booties in the exact color, the other day she got two comments from two women in a matter of an hour. When will you provide these pink booties in an adult size? I do think you will sell alot seeing as its pretty hard to find in that specific color!
