What was your first pair of Minnetonka moccasins?
I had been lusting after the Tramper Ankle Hi Boots and finally received them as a birthday gift—3 years ago–and they’re still my number one, go-to boot in my closet!

What is your favorite memory involving your Minnetonka boots?
My Minnetonka boots have seen lots of adventures with me… (because let’s be honest, I’m all about comfort and they are by far the most comfy shoes I own!).   I’ve worn them to concerts, on vintage treasure hunts, dinner dates with my husband, and even city dwelling with my sister.

How far have you and your Minnetonka boots traveled?
Oh gosh, I really wish that I could say “Paris” or “Rome”…but honestly, I haven’t had the opportunity to travel all that much.  I did proudly rock them in Washington D.C.

Describe your Minnetonka style.
I have always been drawn to a somewhat bohemian style (I am a painter/artist so I guess I sort of fit my own cliché).  I am really into mixing dressy and casual pieces, so I totally pair my Minnetonka boots with a little black dress + layers of jewelry.  As a mom of a one year old I also tend to wear a lot of jeans… a daily outfit of mine would be: skinny jeans, tucked into my Tramper boots, a vintage concert t-shirt and (if I’m leaving the house) loads of bracelets, rings and necklaces to add interest.

My Minnetonka Story: Kelsey Nosek

What was your first pair of Minnetonka moccasins?
My first pair of Minnetonka moccasins were a classic pair of caramel brown kilty suede mocs. Growing up I was always jealous of my friend’s collection, especially her knee hi lace up boots. So when I stumbled upon a store that sold Minnetonka moccasins in Northern Minnesota, I was like a kid in a candy store.

Where were your first pair of Minnetonka’s purchased?
I bought my first pair of moccasins in the quaint town of Nisswa, Minnesota at a store called “The Totem Pole.” My friends and I spent the weekend at a cabin and took a break from swimming, boating, and catchphrase to venture into town. The store was filled with a hodgepodge of souvenirs, gag gifts, Native American inspired trinkets, and of course, Minnetonka moccasins.

What is your favorite memory involving your Minnetonkas?
My favorite memory is from Bonnaroo. My Minnetonka’s took the trek with me down to North Manchester, Tennessee and fought through the crowds, dust, and dirt to enjoy the awesome music. They were the perfect music festival shoes!

How far have you and your Minnetonka’s traveled?
The furthest I’ve traveled with my Minnetonka’s is Europe. I spent a semester in Copenhagen, Denmark in college and wore my black thunderbird mocs literally everywhere. They were perfect for the cold weather and the uneven, cobblestone streets.

Describe your Minnetonka style.
Moccasins are definitely a staple in my closet. I find myself replacing tennis shoes, flats, sandals, and even high heels with moccasins on a regular basis. Yes, I’m guilty of pairing moccasins with anything from a formal dress to yoga pants. However, my favorite pairing is with a flowy, high waisted skirt and a loose fitted blouse.

What was your first pair of Minnetonka moccasins?
My first pair of Minnetonkas were the Calf Hi 3-Layer Fringe Boot in brown. I wore them for months straight, rain or shine, hiking in the mountains or out on the town.

Where were your first pair of Minnetonkas purchased?
I got my first pair of Minnetonkas on a road trip through the beautiful American Southwest. We stopped at a little gift shop in the middle of nowhere on the way to go camping at the Grand Canyon. I had to have a pair of the Minnetonkas they had lined up in the window. They were the perfect shoes to wear on my very first visit to that magical place. And I’ve worn them every time I’ve returned!

What is your favorite memory involving your Minnetonkas?
I once had an elderly co-worker of mine comment on my Minnetonka Moccasins, saying he wished he could wear stuff like that. I told him he could! He laughed, said I was right and I told him where he could find some moccasins of his own.

How far have you and your Minnetonkas traveled?
I’ve worn my Minnetonkas all over the country, from Yosemite National Park to New York City. Thats what I love about them, they’re so endlessly versatile.

Describe your Minnetonka style.
My Minnetonka style is casual and comfortable. But I love to dress them up too. Traveling, work, play- I pretty much wear them for any occasion.

My Minnetonka Story: Sarah Heckle of Tulle and Trinkets

What was your first pair of Minnetonka moccasins?
My very first pair of Minnetonka moccasins were the studded mocs, and the two button boot wasn’t far behind.

Where were your first pair of Minnetonka’s purchased?
My first Minnetonka’s were purchased two summers ago when I lived in little-old Ocala, Florida for a summer internship. I came across a Handbag Factory that happened to also sell Minnetonka’s. It was definitely a unique shopping experience. The place had no AC (remember – this is central Florida in July!) and the sweetest lady was running the show. I fell in love with my Minnetonka’s then and there! Now, the other shoes in my closet suffer a little jealousy.

What is your favorite memory involving your Minnetonkas?
My favorite memory would have to be the Jonsi concert my now-husband and I went to. I obsessed over what I was going to wear to this concert. I finally settled on a retro-inspired sweater, jeans, and my Minnetonka’s. Oh — and the concert was amazing!

How far have you and your Minnetonka’s traveled?
My Minnetonka’s accompanied me to the Dominican Republic for my honeymoon this past October! They were perfect for walking excursions and they paired perfectly with the beachy and breezy suitcase of clothes I packed.

Describe your Minnetonka style.
I think I have a split personality when it comes to style. Part of me is very girly and feminine: pastels, bows, dresses, and ballet flats. But the other part of me is so drawn to 60s and 70s-inspired boho style: maxi skirts, flowing tops, pared-down makeup & hair — and my Minnetonka’s!

What was your first pair of Minnetonka moccasins?
I remember when I was a little girl, maybe about 5 or so, I would just stare at my mother’s Minnetonkas with some sort of crazy infatuation. So my love for Minnetonka’s started at an extremely young age. My first pair were actually a pair that my mother had purchased for me, they were the classic Thunderbirds and they were beautiful. I was probably about 9 years old when I had gotten them and I fell in love. They were so classically cute and they went along with every outfit a spunky, adventurous 9 year old girl could come up with.

What is your favorite memory involving your Minnetonkas?
One of my favorite memories involving my Minnetonka’s are all of the wonderful comments I receive while wearing them! I swear, when I wear my 3-layered fringe boots I get stopped at least 5 times every time I go to the grocery store! Who knew I was so stylish?

How far have you and your Minnetonka’s traveled?
The furthest my Minnetonkas have traveled is the Windy City, Chicago. I think the best Minnetonka fans actually live there! So much Minnetonka support!

Describe your Minnetonka style.
My Minnetonka style is very versatile, because Minnetonka shoes are versatile. I can wear my fringe boots with a floral dress and belt to go for a flirty, bohemian feel or I could wear my beaded mocs with a pair of cropped jeans and a sparkly oversized tee for a glam feel. I guess I would describe my Minnetonka style as “Boho Glam”.
