Store Spotlight:  Minnetonka Namba Parks Store

Newly opened this past March, we are excited to spotlight the Minnetonka Namba Parks store of Osaka, Japan.  Find out a little more about the Namba Parks store in our Q&A with store manager Kozue Inaba!

What is your Minnetonka story?
I own about 30 pairs of Minnetonka mocs and boots,  so I am always happy to share my Minnetonka expertise with our customers. It is such a fun experience to be able to inform them about the different Minnetonka styles so they leave our store excited about the variety of products.

What is the most popular Minnetonka style at the Namba Parks store?
The most popular style in our store is definitely the Kilty Suede Moc in brown, a very classic and chic style.

What is your favorite pair of Minnetonka boots to wear and how do you like to style them?
My favorite pair are the Double Fringe Side Zip Boots in wine. It is definitely this fall’s fashion color! I like to wear my Minnetonka boots usually with a tailored shirt and a pair of pleated pants, a very menswear inspired look.

What is a ‘must see’ destination when visiting Osaka?
There is a well-established boutique called “ROCKS” in Kita-horie. I basically buy all my clothes there that I like to style with my Minnetonka mocs.

Covered Bridge Gift and Leather Shop is located in the German themed town, known as “Michigan’s Little Bavaria,” Frankenmuth, Michigan.  The store is owned and operated by the William “Tiny” Zehnder family, who introduced the Alpine architecture to the City of Frankenmuth in 1968.

Covered Bridge Gift and Leather Shop is a bustling store of 3,723 square feet, and is currently one of the 100+ specialty stores in Frankenmuth, which hosts nearly 3 million visitors each year.

What’s your Minnetonka story?
Covered Bridge Gift and Leather Shop, is known for its selection of leather goods including belts, hats, purses, and footwear, and of course our wide selection of Minnetonka products. We have enjoyed working with Minnetonka for nearly 20 years!

Guests return year after year for the latest Minnetonka styles.  Our customers love the look, feel, excellent quality and comfort of Minnetonka products.  Currently, our selection of Minnetonka makes up 105 square feet of our store and includes moccasins, sandals, slippers, and boots for men, women and children.

What is a ‘must see’ destination when visiting Frankenmuth, Michigan?
The Covered Bridge Gift and Leather Shop derived its name from its close proximity to a Frankenmuth Landmark, known as the “Holz-Brucke.” A 230 ton Town Lattice style wooden covered bridge which was built in 1979 by the William “Tiny” Zehnder Family.  The Holz-Brucke, the largest wooden covered bridge built in the 20th century, spans the Cass River and provides access for cars, busses, and pedestrians. The bridge is one of the most photographed and uploaded sites in Frankenmuth and has found its way into the pictures of thousands of visitors over the years and has been the location of many weddings.  The history and construction of the bridge can be viewed daily in the Covered Bridge Gift and Leather Shop.

Go behind-the-scenes with Atlanta Western store, Horsetown and check out the Minnetonka style and story of owners, the Otto Meier family, in our Q&A!

What’s your Minnetonka story?
We started carrying Minnetonka products almost 22 years ago in our original or “home” store located in Marietta Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.  As we added stores in the area, first Snellville and then Locust Grove, it was only natural to include a Minnetonka selection in our new stores as well.  We are the largest full service Western and English retailer in the Georgia area and are happy to carry the largest selection of Minnetonka styles!

What is the most popular Minnetonka style at Horsetown?
Currently our best selling Minnetonka styles are the Calf Hi 3-Layer Fringe boot, Double Fringe Side Zip boot and the Kilty suede moc.  However as the cooler weather approaches, the Cally slipper and the shearling styles are both very popular with our customers.

What is your favorite style of Minnetonka boots to wear?
In our family I would have to say the Sheepskin Ankle Boot is worn year around.  Almost every member of our family owns a pair, as do many of our store managers!

How do you like to style your Minnetonka mocs?
Our lifestyle is Western Casual, and Minnetonka fits every aspect of our daily style, whether it is jeans, skirts, or dresses.  Of course that is when we are not wearing cowboy boots!

What are a few of your favorite “must see” destinations when visiting the Atlanta area?
One unique place to visit  is  ‘The World Of Coca-Cola,’ in Downtown Atlanta.  This exhibit provides a complete history of the world’s favorite soft drink!  Stone Mountain is one of the area’s largest attractions, we think of it as the Mt. Rushmore of the south.  And of course Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves baseball team and Falcon’s football is fun to visit as well.
