Meet Hayley in our Q&A and learn more about Goodman’s Department Store of Pagosa Springs, Colorado!
What’s your Minnetonka story?
The Goodman’s legacy began 114 years ago with my great, great grandfather, David Lowenstein. It’s been family owned and operated for five generations. We’ve proudly carried Minnetonka for four of those generations!
I’m extremely grateful to have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of my family members, while trying my best to maintain Goodman’s historic feel. Goodman’s just wouldn’t be the same without our Pendleton Blankets, Cowboy Boots, Cowboy Hats, and Minnetonka moccasins. I hope to make my ancestors proud and continue this legacy as long as I can!
What is the most popular Minnetonka style in your store?
The most popular styles vary based on the season. When it’s cold, sheepskin slippers (my favorite!) are a sought-after style. Currently, the leopard mocs are extremely popular but when it warms up a bit more, sandals definitely become a favorite of our customers.
What is your favorite Minnetonka slipper style?
My favorite pair of Minnetonka slippers would be the Sheepskin mules. You’ll rarely catch me walking around my house without them, so comfortable!
How do you like to style your Minnetonka mocs or boots?
My personal style is boho chic with a western flair. My favorite outfit would be styling my 5-Layer Fringe Minnetonka boots with skinny jeans and a western top or Tasha Polizzi’s long Aztec print cardigan. And then accessorizing with lots of turquoise jewelry and a large, slouchy handbag or perhaps my matching Minnetonka fringe handbag!
What are a few must see destinations near your store?
A definite must see in Pagosa Springs would be our natural hot springs. In the winter our ski area, Wolf Creek, gets the most snow in Colorado so it’s worth checking out.
The beautiful San Juan River runs right through town so rafting and tubing are great activities during the summer months. Pagosa is such a magnificent area, but to me, it’s especially magical in the fall when the leaves are changing.
