What’s your Minnetonka story?
When vacationing out west we always enjoyed shopping at local gift stores and became familiar with the Minnetonka brand. After relocating our store to Fort Collins we thought that Minnetonka would be a perfect addition to our store and would really personify the Fort Collins area.
With Southwestern gifts and jewelry as the main focus of Santa Fe Craftsman, and with a new generation discovering Minnetonka, we realized that our proximity to Colorado State University would be very beneficial. We inquired about carrying Minnetonka products in our store and received our first shipment in 2005. Since that first year of selling a variety of Minnetonka styles our sales have quadrupled!
How do you like to style your Minnetonka mocs?
We style our Minnetonka’s just about every way! With the versatility of Minnetonka styles, they go with everything. It’s shorts and casual shirts during the spring and summer weather and then we move right into jeans and khakis during the fall and winter months.
What are a few of your favorite “must see” destinations when visiting the Fort Collins area near Santa Fe Craftsman?
We are located near Colorado State University, and are visited often by the students who refer to our store as “The Minnetonka Store!” We enjoy the wide variety of great restaurants on College Avenue located near our store like, the Aggie and Hodie’s which offer live music just about every night. White water river rafting and fly fishing on The Poudre River are also very popular in the area, as well as hiking trails as far as the eye can see!
