Minnetonka x Duluth Pack Collaboration

Handcrafted quality is a rare thing these days. At Minnetonka, we’ve always taken pride in the careful construction of our products. That’s why a collaboration with Duluth Pack felt like a natural fit. A fellow Minnesota brand, they share our commitment in providing customers with premium products constructed to stand the test of timeTogether, we are presenting a special capsule collection of slippers and carry-all bags that combine our two aesthetics.

A RICH HERITAGE

Duluth Pack is America’s oldest canvas and leather bag and pack company. Since 1882, they embody the hearty Northern spirit, honoring artisanal techniques and delivering well-made products to their customers. Residing in their factory for over 100 years, they’ve ensured that every stitch and rivet has been carefully placed. Each pack goes through several hands, from tracing and cutting bundles of canvas, to the stitching done in the sewing department, to punching and hammering each rivet into place. After another check for quality, the packs are sent out around the world, or to the many customers who take their durable packs with them on their travels. Standing by their work, Duluth Pack sewers sign every bag, while the company offers a lifetime guarantee.

BEHIND THE BAGS

Duluth Pack’s Scout Pack and Shell Bag have a long and beloved history. Duluth Pack’s most iconic bag, the Scout Pack, was introduced in 1882. Originally a canoe pack, a Fashion Editor from The New York Times came up with a scaled-down version. The convenient size and sturdy design allows for easy travel, whether you are hiking the trail, cycling, commuting to class, or going about your everyday activities. With riveted leather reinforcements and Duluth Pack’s dependable canvas, you can be confident your belongings have a safe home.

The Shell Bag, originally known as the #50 Shell Bag, was first used by hunters and sportsmen. The bag gained its unique name because it could store 50 shotgun shells. With a fashionable design, it continues its colorful history as a popular purse for everyday use. While the shape and fringe make for a good look, it’s built to last with a high-quality roller buckle, tough canvas, and premium leather flap strap.

MINNETONKA x DULUTH PACK COLLABORATION

Both of Duluth Pack’s classic bags were updated with a Minnetonka twist for this capsule collection, while our shoes incorporated elements of Duluth Pack’s signature style. The result is a handsome holiday collection that joins two American heritage brands. Tom Sega, Duluth Pack’s President says, “Our priority has always been and will always be on our quality and meeting our customer’s needs. The focus for the Duluth Pack and Minnetonka collaboration is providing the aesthetic and functionality our customers want and expect from both of our companies.”

The Duluth Pack Scout Pack and Duluth Pack Shell Bag feature a leather patch commemorating the collaboration, along with accents of Minnetonka’s famous suede. A chocolate brown suede flap and hand-laced whip stitch adorn the Scout Pack, while a layer of suede fringe embellishes the Shell Bag.

The collection also includes a men's and women’s slipper. Both are made with Duluth Pack’s trademark olive canvas fabric and are lined with Minnetonka’s plush sheepskin. The women’s slipper features stylish frayed edges and leather ties. The men’s slipper also has leather ties, and is adorned with whip stitch details in the back.
