Lucie Skjefte

Lucie Skjefte, a citizen of the Red Lake Nation Anishinaabeg, is a Minneapolis-based designer, mentor, and educator. Her work is deeply rooted in activism and strives to challenge the status quo with a positive approach.

She was the designer behind Minnetonka’s first ever beaded moc collaboration: Minnetonka x Lucie Skjefte Ziigwan Waabigwan Moc.

She also redesigned Minnetonka’s Thunderbird beading and is the designer behind our Thunderbird “Animikii” collection.
