DOUBLE DUTY
Moccasins with a softsole, for those who love to stand apart from the rest.

Two layers of high-quality deerskin wrap softly around your feet. These moccasins, originally released in 1975, are butter soft, inside and out. The deerskin soles form to your every step, giving you that almost-barefoot feeling. Rawhide laces hold your foot in place and a fully padded insole helps you walk softly and comfortably.

Customer Questions

Maggie P.

Q: 1) Is the insole sewn in or glued? 2) How much do they stretch after wearing?
A:
Hi Maggie, Thanks for reaching out. The two layers of Deerskin are glued together with a comfy foam insole inserted between the two layers during production. Deerskin is a soft, supple leather so it will stretch over time and wear. The amount of stretching can depend on the frequency and length of wear. Regards, Minnetonka

Rebecca V.

Q: So the sole is leather, can these mocs be worn outside.
A:
Hi Rebecca! Softsoles, by their very nature of lacking a more structured rubber sole, are more suited for use as indoor shoes. Without rubber soles, softsole moccasins are ill-suited to be worn outdoors on concrete and pavement, as well as in elements such as rain, snow, mud, etc. With only suede (or leather) as the outsole, a thin callous can form with gentle wear which helps the moccasins last. But with more rigorous wear outdoors, the suede (or leather) wears through at a much faster rate since they are not intended as athletic wear.

Natascha

Q: Could I wear the softsoles outside, or are they just to wear in the house? And… do you ship to Europe?
A:
Hi Natascha. Softsoles, by their very nature of lacking a more structured rubber sole, are more suited for use as indoor shoes. Without rubber soles, softsole moccasins are ill-suited to be worn outdoors on concrete and pavement, as well as in elements such as rain, snow, mud, etc. Due to difficulties with international shipping, Minnetonka has closed its International websites indefinitely.

Holly

Q: I wear a size 8.5 in your moccasins, should I go down or up a size
A:
Hi Holly. To allow room for stretching, we would recommend sizing down to an 8 in this style.

Merrilyn C.

Q: Do hey come in wode
A:
Hi Merrilyn. Unfortunately, this style is not available in wide.
